Dial-Up Modems

Dial-up modems use traditional copper phone lines to transmit analog signals. Out of all types of modems: dial-up, DSL and cable, dial-up connections offer the slowest transmission speeds.

What is a dial-up access?

Dial-up modem's connection is just like a regular phone connection, but instead of people, computers are connected to both ends of the connection.
With a dial-up modem, the user must connect to his Internet Service Provider (ISP) in order to connect to the internet.
